This is a copy of my bio page from Bassocantante's Opera Shop, my first website. When I get around to it, this site will be dedicated to fine choral singing. So keep dropping by.
I've been a member of the South Bend Chamber Singers for nine years. I also perform with Indiana Opera North. I am a member of the VoiceCare Network.
Some of the roles I've performed:
I've also sung a good bit of the standard oratorio and cantata literature. In the fall of 1996, I was bass soloist in a rare performance of Donizetti's Requiem and performed Carissimi's Jephthe; in April 1998, I was one of the featured soloists for a performance of Bach's St. John Passion with the South Bend Chamber Singers and the Chamber Orchestra of the Rhine.
I have worked at Community Resource Center for nine years. Until recently, I was the Hotline Coordinator, responsible for the 24 hour a day crisis and suicide intervention service. Recently, I became the communications and technologies director, responsible for all agency publications, including three social service directories which are published annually; and all aspects of our computer operations, including programming, trouble-shooting, database maintenance and the production and distribution of our licensed information and referral software.
This is the bass aria from J. S. Bach's Magnificat. It was recorded during a live performance at the Moreau Center for the Arts at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana. The work was performed as part of a concert given by the South Bend Chamber Singers under the direction of Nancy Menk in December of 1994.
